NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of tourists arriving from the United States. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022, an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% growth over 2019.

Canada is not far behind the United States of America, is on track for surpassing its tourist arrivals to Israel. The country had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 as well as 6,000 tourists in August.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since its official reopening to all travelers regardless of the status of their vaccination in May, the country has already seen over 600,400 US visitors.
